As future leaders, we continually strive to build stronger ties with our communities and the individuals within them. It is through this understanding that we grow and develop broader worldviews that will shape and support our lives. We celebrate our history through traditions that honor the past while serving the future.
Immersed in an increasingly global culture and community, an important part of our Chapter’s own culture is to guarantee that all of our Ticktockers graduate from our program with a sense of appreciation for the differences in each other and the world. Cultural experiences often involve mothers and daughters and are an enjoyable way to appreciate different traditions and art forms. By broadening the horizons of our Ticktockers, we find that they become open to and more accepting of others and many begin to actively advocate for others. There is nothing really quite so rewarding.
Some of the cultural experiences in which our Plano Area Chapter engages include:
- Ballet & Dance Performances
- Musical Theatre
- Choral Arts
- Cultural Centers
- Arts & Seasonal Festivals
- Dramatic Theatre
