Our Chapter History
The Plano Area Chapter was started on February 8, 2000. Twenty-one women attended the initial meeting of the Chapter. At that time, a Board of Directors was elected and over the next several months, many informational meetings were held. This brought our Membership up to 65 Patronesses and 74 Ticktockers.
After establishing the Bylaws, Ticktocker procedures, standing rules and transfer procedures, the Chapter was approved for Provisional status in September 2000. The Chapter operated under Provisional status for one year and was advanced to Charter status on September 10, 2001, at the National Board meeting. On April 26, 2002, the Plano Area Chapter received our official Charter at the National Convention in Long Beach, California.
As of 2018-2019, we have an Active Membership of 129 Patronesses and 147 Ticktockers, and 35 Sustainer Patronesses.
